First Day of School

I took this same picture last year just before we left for preschool.
Where's the bus mom? When is it going to be here? I don't see it yet.

At 6:45 our bus showed up... man that's early! The kids on our road are the first ones to get on.

I drove to school so I could see Nolan get off the bus and make sure he got to where he needed to be. Since our bus was so late, I got to see all the other kids get off of their bus and most of the kindergarten kids had the scared-to-death look on their faces... but not Nolan! (I know you can't see it to well but he was grinning from ear to ear.)

You can see Nolan in the middle listening to the instructions.. and waiting patiently. This group of kids are the ones who didn't know who their teacher was... except for Nolan. His bus was late and Nolan's class went inside before he got there so they made him wait... as if an hour and a half on the bus wasn't enough!

This picture pretty much sums up his first day of school... he loved every minute of it... including the long bus ride. I picked him up at 11 and on the way home he told me he wanted to ride the bus again. He said his teacher, Mrs. Tonner, was pretty nice. They watched a movie, had a tour of the school, and made a crown with their name on it.
