Lovin' Homeshool

Today Connor made a tiny boat and had a list of things to do to see what would make the boat move.  It was quite fun.  The balloon power was the funnest, but the look on Connor's face when he tried to wish it to move was pretty funny.  (He knew wishing wouldn't work but I made him try it anyway.)

This is him using his breath power.  (aka wind)

And this is balloon power!

The Visitor

We had a strange visitor in our back yard this weekend.  Like I've said in previous posts, you never know what's going to show up in our yard.   Rosie was kind enough to bark the alarm.. but too old to leave the porch!
I believe this is a juvenile great blue heron sitting on the roof of our almost done chicken coop.  Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.  It was big and I'm glad the chickens were still inside!

This video cracks me up.  Dwayne didn't know what it was.

Swords!

What should a mom do with two boys when daddy's away at a bible conference?  Make swords!  We got our supplies, instructions, and went to work.  It was pretty easy and didn't take long.  The boys LOVE their swords.
