Still Here

We are still here.
It has been an embarrassingly long time since I've made a post!
I have a good excuse. I started my shop training at work.
I have to work their schedule which is four, ten hour days.
Thankfully it's only until the end of November.
I'm basically an exhausted zombie during the week.
Fridays have been spent catching up on things like
sleep, appointments, coffee with friends, house stuff, etc.

I still have several posts in draft mode.
I just haven't made the time to finish them!

So this is a snapshot of what we've been up to the last several weeks.

These are in no particular order.
:)

Nolan all dressed up for a homecoming dance at Kaylee's school.

Nolan and Kaylee going to his homecoming.

Funny thing about this pic... the dog ran over thinking we were going for a walk.
Silly Pepper.

Ducks eagerly waiting for some peas.

Fair Oaks Farms had a weekend where you could pick apples for free.
I had no idea their orchard was so large!

We ended up with 25 pounds of apples.
We made lots of apple crisp.
Yum!

We've had several fires in the ring.

Beautiful rainbow.
I'll suspend the Walmart jokes for now.
I may pick on our small Walmart but I'm truly thankful to have one in our town.

I've started on Nolan's graduation quilt, AKA the dragon quilt.
I'm planning on hand appliqueing this thing.
I may have bitten off more than I can chew.
This all of the template pieces.
I already told him it will probably not be done by the time he graduates.
I think it will be worth the wait.

I made a grid to help get the pieces in the right places.

I sewed the eye and nostril on the head.
Now this piece is ready to sew to the background.
